About us

I am a mum of three girls, a wife and a creative! I’ve got more than my fair share of experience in retail, hospitality and small business; all of which has influenced the environmentally conscious and responsible foundation of our micro flower farm… I finally feel like I’ve found my “thing”. When our eldest was around one, I began learning to grow some food, motivated by sharing valuable skills with our daughter and trying to encourage myself out into the fresh air and sunshine for the sake of my mental health. I started adding in more flowers to encourage the bees and pollinators and quickly became totally (positively) consumed by the process of growing, harvesting, arranging and sharing the beautiful blooms we had grown.

Fast forward six or so years, we have extended our growing space and grow predominantly down the kanamaluka / Tamar river in northern lutruwita / Tasmania. We are committed to growing glorious, seasonal flowers without the use of any harsh chemicals or toxic pesticides- working with Mother Nature, not against.

Choosing a variety of plants that grow well in our climate and using only natural inputs allows us to nurture our natural ecosystem. A happy and balanced ecosystem encourages a diverse array of pollinators and beneficial insects which in turn help keep diseases, fungal issues and the “bad” bugs at bay. In the event of a *few* too many aphids, we start by buying in additional beneficial insects (cue Ladybugs), working on our soil health and so on to get everything back in balance.

This gentle approach to our cutting patch focusing on circular sustainability is carried all the way through to the way we approach wholesale, retail and our event work.

Through composting, recycling, reusing, swapping and sharing are we are committed to having the smallest impact possible on the planet. You won’t find our flowers in plastic sleeves or packaging nor find any floral foam in our designs.

As many creatives + ‘heart on their sleeve’ neurospicy people will relate too, I often have many different projects on the go and in our case, multiple offerings. We grow for wholesale, retail, weddings & events, dried flowers and foliage which I lovingly create bespoke arrangements, posies and wreaths with and pressed wildflower cards. Yes, flowers always.
